Carey Earthmoving services include the supply and installation of timber and/or reinforced concrete, drilled in-ground piles for foundations and retaining structures.

We were engaged recently to complete piling works, for Fletcher Living at their Homai residential development.

​

Our piling prepared the ground to carry heavy loads, related to the 50+ new homes by drilling foundations through the ground to provide more structural strength to the weak soil underneath. Installing the bored pile started with drilling a vertical hole into the soil, using our specialised equipment, before bracing and pouring with reinforced concrete.

These drilled / bored piles offered some distinct advantages over other piling methods, as they provided higher load-bearing capacities than driven piles, and the absence of vibration meant adjacent piles or other structures were not disturbed.
